“Name three things found in Australia”
This was easy! My mind went straight to thoughts of koalas, dingos and kangaroos. I kept quiet though, it wasn’t my turn. The 7 year old went more fundamental,
“houses
people
spiders.”
She answered within 5 seconds and got the points for her round. I laughed and clapped and reflected that sometimes its easy to over complicate things. Maybe sometimes it’s better to start with no assumptions and no stereotypes, just keep it simple.
