The importance of hope
Why hope is important? How can we foster hope in others and ourselves?(89 words)
Hope is essential to the human spirit. Hope can turn a bad day into a good one. It doesn’t need to be much,
A small seed.
A kernel.
A dot on the horizon.
Hope is the belief that change is possible.
That now isn’t forever.
That there is a chance that the future will be different. Better.
Hope gives a reason to get up in the morning. To live. To work. To love. To try again. To wait.
Hope gives meaning. Hope is life.

8th May 2016 at 7:34 pmHaving just been told I’m being served redundancy from my assistant head teachers post I’m looking for hope! It’s now a battle ahead as it’s all been done very badly. I hope one day soon I shall find a job and school that I’ll enjoy as much as my time in my current one. Never thought I would see the day that someone told me to leave rather than me leave of my own choosing.

31st May 2016 at 9:36 amSorry to hear that Julie. Feeling like you don’t have a choice is tough. I do know people who have used redundancy as an opportunity to reflect on what they really wanted and what was important to them and are much stronger for it within a year or two. I wish you all the best.
