1. Learn to get yourself noticed for your expertise and skills (show don’t tell).
2. Build relationships with people who can create opportunities.
3. Improve your communication skills.
You don’t need to agree.
I thought qualifications and being good at what I did was enough on its own for years too.
Fine, but while you are applying and sending your CV for the 100th job or chatting to loads of recruiters who can’t represent you well there is somebody else chatting directly to the CEO or Chair of the Board via WhatsApp.
